Kwabena's Story

Millions of people around the world suffer from mental health concerns. Traditional methods of treatment can be effective, but they are not always accessible or affordable. Virtual reality has the potential to revolutionize mental health treatment. Virtual reality can be used to create immersive environments that can help people confront their fears, learn coping mechanisms, and improve overall mental health. virtual reality can also be tailored to individual needs and culturally competent care.  Virtual reality has the potential to make a real difference in the lives of people with mental health concerns.

Exploring a Dynamic Journey

In Kwabena's journey, he's deeply committed to a his academic pursuits within a Ph.D. program that merges his passions for virtual reality, counseling, and entrepreneurship. His research pioneers innovative uses of virtual reality in therapy, highlighting his dedication to advancing mental health. Alongside his studies, Kwabena explores the market potential of VR-driven counseling services, bridging theory and practice.

As a current Ph.D student at Oregon State university, and a recipient of a master's degree  in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, he specializes in helping individuals facing anxiety, obsessive , and stress disorders. Kwabena has a track record of evaluating and implementing programs for organizational success. His journey, enriched by international experience, reflects an unswerving commitment to bettering individuals, organizations, and communities, underlining his mission of positive change through counseling, program development, and global engagement.
